Refund Policy

This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which SmartMagnet ("Platform", "we", "us", or "our") may issue refunds for purchases made on the SmartMagnet platform.
1. Nature of Purchase
SmartMagnet operates on a subscription-based system. Users subscribe to a monthly plan which grants a predefined number of document uploads per month. Subscriptions and monthly limits reset automatically based on the billing cycle.
2. Refund Eligibility
a) Eligible for Refund
- Duplicate Payments: If you were charged more than once for the same subscription period.
- Plan Not Upgraded: If payment was successful but your account was not upgraded to the corresponding plan due to a technical failure on our end.
- Service Unavailability: If the platform experiences prolonged downtime preventing you from accessing the Service within a reasonable timeframe.
b) Not Eligible for Refund
- Partial Usage: Subscriptions are billed monthly. We do not offer prorated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations or for unused document quotas.
- Change of Mind: Refunds are not issued if you simply change your mind after subscribing.
- Account Violations: If your account was suspended or terminated due to violation of our Terms and Conditions.
3. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us with the following details:
- Your registered email address.
- Date and amount of the transaction.
- Razorpay payment/order ID (if available).
- Reason for the refund request.

4. Processing Time
- Refund requests will be reviewed within 5–7 business days.
- Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 7–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
5. Reversal of Subscriptions & Referral Commissions
Upon an approved refund, your subscription plan will immediately revert to the Free tier. Additionally, if the refunded transaction generated an affiliate commission under our Referral Program, that commission will be clawed back and deducted from the referring affiliate's earnings balance.
